Privacy Policy

Boxless is a home-inventory app published by Rogue 7 Technology LLC (“we,” “us”). We built Boxless to be private by design. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your information.

The short version

We don’t collect your data — we can’t even see it. Boxless has no accounts, no login, and no servers of ours. Everything you add stays on your device and, if you’re signed into iCloud, is privately backed up and synced through your own Apple iCloud account.

What Boxless stores, and where

The items you add — names, categories, rooms, brands, model and serial numbers, purchase details, notes, photos, receipts, manuals, and maintenance reminders — are stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device database. If you are signed into iCloud, that data is also synced to your private iCloud (Apple CloudKit) so it’s backed up and available on your other devices signed into the same Apple ID.

This data is controlled by you and Apple. Rogue 7 Technology LLC does not operate any server that receives, stores, or has access to your Boxless data. We never see it.

Camera and photos

With your permission, Boxless uses your device camera to take photos of items and to scan barcodes or read model/serial numbers and receipts. This processing happens entirely on your device. Photos and scans are saved with your items (on your device and your iCloud) and are not sent to us or any third party.

Notifications

If you set maintenance reminders and allow notifications, Boxless schedules local notifications on your device. No notification content is sent through our servers.

What we don’t do

  • No user accounts, sign-ups, or passwords.
  • No analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party marketing SDKs.
  • No selling, renting, or sharing of your data — we don’t have it to share.

Apple iCloud

Because syncing and backup use your Apple iCloud account, Apple’s handling of that data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. See apple.com/legal/privacy.

Children

Boxless is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them (and, as noted, collects nothing on our servers regardless).

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and post the revised version on this page.
